  17. <p>     How is BONNIE RAITT going to sing about hard luck and
  18. heartbreak now that she's so happy? "You're never without the
  19. memories of being brokenhearted," says Raitt, who paid her dues
  20. with 20 years of road gigging and fast living before recently
  21. settling into a major groove: she copped three Grammys for her
  22. last album, Nick of Time, and capped off a fairy-tale year by
  23. marrying actor Michael O'Keefe in April. Now she has a new
  24. album, Luck of the Draw, and a world tour. But success hasn't
  25. spoiled the suddenly fashionable songstress. "I've learned to
  26. accept what you had to go through in the past to get where you
  27. are right now."
